The charcoal chimney starter is an essential tool for any grilling enthusiast looking to achieve the perfect char on their food. The JETFIRE™ Chimney Starter by Napoleon provides a quick, safe, and efficient method to ignite your charcoal for barbecue grills. This chimney starter is specifically designed for outdoor use, utilizing a chimney effect that ensures concentrated heat is applied to the charcoal for optimal lighting. Constructed from durable aluminized steel, the JETFIRE™ features a cool-touch handle for secure handling during operation, although it is advisable to use grill gloves when it is hot.
One of the standout features of the JETFIRE™ Chimney Starter is its capacity to hold enough charcoal to fill the majority of standard charcoal grills. Preparing for your barbecue has never been easier—within minutes, your charcoal can be hot and ready to use. To utilize the JETFIRE™ Chimney Starter, start by filling its underside with Napoleon wood wool. Then, flip it over and fill the main chamber with the desired amount of charcoal, whether it’s a few pieces of hardwood lump charcoal for smoking or a full load for high-heat searing.
After filling, light the wood wool through the bottom vents of the starter, allowing it to burn off and ignite the bottom layer of coals. The rising heat will then efficiently ignite the rest of the charcoal, making the process streamlined. Once the coals are ignited, simply lift the JETFIRE™ Chimney Starter using the handle (with heat-resistant gloves) and pour the lit charcoal into your barbecue grill. This practical and multifunctional accessory is not just easy to use, but it’s also easy to maintain.
Incorporating the JETFIRE™ Chimney Starter into your grilling routine will elevate your outdoor cooking experience, providing the essential tools needed to create delicious grilled food. With a multitude of Napoleon barbecue accessories at your disposal, you'll have an expanded arsenal that allows for diverse culinary exploration. Enjoy efficient charcoal lighting with the JETFIRE™ and make every barbecue session memorable.

How do I pick the right rub for what I'm cooking?
How do I pick the right rub for what I'm cooking?
Start with the protein. Beef loves coarse, pepper-forward rubs. Pork and chicken take well to sweeter, sugar-based blends. Fish and veggies want something lighter. Every product page tells you what the rub was built for, and if you're stuck between two, ask us. We cook with this stuff every weekend.
How long do rubs and sauces stay good?
How long do rubs and sauces stay good?
Unopened, most rubs hold peak flavor for about a year and sauces until the date on the bottle. Once opened, keep rubs sealed away from heat and humidity (not on the shelf above the grill) and refrigerate sauces after opening. If it still smells strong, it still cooks strong.
What if a flavor isn't what I expected?
What if a flavor isn't what I expected?
Give it a second shot before you shelve it. Rubs behave differently depending on the protein, the heat, and how heavy you go. A blend that's just okay on chicken is often unbelievable on pork ribs, and most sauces open up when they're brushed on during the last few minutes instead of after. If you tell us what you cooked and how, we'll tell you how to get the most out of the bottle you've got.
